About VialWatch
VialWatch is the sterile-injectable shortage intelligence platform we wanted to exist when we watched pharmacy buyers waste hours every week on phone calls and broker emails during the 2024-2025 shortage waves.
Live data · refreshes every 30s
A live look at the top 20 most-recently-reported active sterile-injectable shortages flowing through VialWatch. Sourced from FDA Drug Shortages and refreshed nightly.

Who builds it
VialWatch is built and operated by the team at AzeoRx Pharmaceuticals LLC, a Colorado-based pharmaceutical innovation company. Our background is medicinal chemistry, structure-based drug design, and pharmaceutical R&D — translating molecular biology insights into therapeutic candidates.
Our active research portfolio spans oncology (pancreatic cancer combination therapy in NRG1-fusion subtypes; glioblastoma), rare disease (Duchenne muscular dystrophy combination protocols; systemic lupus erythematosus), and pulmonary medicine (pulmonary arterial hypertension). Multiple provisional patent applications are on file with the USPTO covering novel combination therapies and methods of use.
Why VialWatch: working in pharmaceutical research means spending a lot of time talking to clinical partners and pharmacy operations teams. The same complaint kept coming up — when a critical injectable went into shortage, finding a credible alternative manufacturer meant hours of phone calls, supplier verification, and scrolling FDA databases. Half the alternative-supplier leads from the broker market turned out to be marketing-only firms with no real GMP-certified finished-dose capability. That problem was solvable. Hence VialWatch.
What we do
VialWatch aggregates and analyzes data from FDA Drug Shortages, FDA Enforcement (recall) reports, Drugs@FDA (new generic approvals), and other public regulatory sources into a single unified feed for hospital pharmacy and procurement teams.
The platform tracks every active shortage in real time, surfaces relief signals when a new ANDA approval drops (an early indicator of returning supply, often weeks before commercial availability), flags quality events when a recall hits, and synthesizes all of it into one drug-level brief with a recommended next step.
For Pro and Enterprise subscribers, we go further: pre-screened alternative-supplier shortlists per shortage. Every supplier in our briefs has been checked against current FDA standing, recall history, and inspection-classification data before it appears. The verification work that used to take procurement teams 3-5 hours per drug is already done by the time the brief lands in your inbox.
What makes VialWatch different
The FDA Drug Shortages list is canonical, but it has three structural limits for procurement teams: it lags (typically reports onset after allocation has already shifted in the market), it does not cross-reference recalls or new approvals (so you can't see the relief signal coming), and it does not vet alternative suppliers (so you still need to verify everything yourself). VialWatch closes all three gaps.
The trade press is helpful but slow — typically 5-14 days behind the underlying FDA notification. By then, allocation contracts at competing health systems are already locked.
Brokers can move faster but introduce new risks — pricing opacity, regulatory exposure, and the marketing-only-firm problem. VialWatch is independent of the broker market by design.
Independence pledge
Data & methodology
Every drug record in VialWatch is built from the union of FDA Drug Shortages, FDA Enforcement (recalls and corrections), Drugs@FDA (NDA, ANDA, BLA approvals), and other public regulatory sources. Data refreshes nightly from the source feeds; some signals (recall postings, ANDA approvals) are updated multiple times per day.
We track 650+ active and resolved shortage events, 160+ recent drug recalls (rolling 90-day window), and 200+ recent ANDA and NDA approvals — the full universe of FDA-listed activity relevant to U.S. hospital pharmacy. Enterprise sourcing briefs additionally screen against FDA inspection records, warning letters, and import alerts before any supplier is recommended.
The company
VialWatch is operated by AzeoRx Pharmaceuticals LLC, a Colorado-registered limited liability company focused on pharmaceutical innovation. AzeoRx maintains an active drug-discovery research program with multiple provisional patent applications on file at the USPTO covering novel combination therapies in oncology, rare disease, and pulmonary medicine.
VialWatch is the SaaS arm of that work — a recognition that pharmaceutical innovation matters less if the existing therapeutic supply chain breaks faster than the science advances. Solving for the supply-side problem is part of solving for the patient.
